Qld: Eight-year-old shoots hole-in-one but loses money

BRISBANE, Feb 20 AAP - An eight-year-old golfer with dreams of being the next GregNorman has returned $1,000 he won shooting a hole-in-one to avoid losing his amateur status.

Kurt Whittal won the money on an 85m hole at the Chancellor Park Pitch and Putt, onQueensland's Sunshine Coast.

But his excitement was shortlived when he was contacted by the Headland Golf Club,where he is the youngest member, and told if he accepted the money he would be unableto play in amateur competitions.
