Class winner Jensen takes top driver prize

Saltford's Steven Jensen took his best ever class victory at theCastle Combe Circuit's Springtime Raceday on Bank Holiday Monday.

Although it was Bradford on Avon's Ed Moore who took an untroubledoutright victory in the Melton Concrete Products Formula Ford 1600Championship race, it was the action behind him which attracted allthe attention.

Jensen qualified fourth overall and second in class in his SwiftSC92, but by lap two had taken the class lead and second overall,with first Nick Jones and then Robert Hall having their turn atdemoting him.

By mid-race, Jones was slightly out of touch, leaving Jensen andHall to themselves.
